Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured two contracts from National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) for the construction of residential towers at Bacheli in Chhattisgarh. The combined contract value is Rs 13.332 bn (13,332 mn), comprised of Rs 7,968 mn for Iron Ore Deposit-5 and Rs 5,364 mn for Iron Ore Deposit-10/11A. Each contract carries a 34-month execution period and both awards were made by a domestic entity as part of RVNL's ordinary business activities.

RVNL clarified that the contracts do not qualify as related party transactions and that the promoter and the promoter group have no interest in the awarding entity. The company stated that the awards meet applicable regulatory and transparency requirements and that governance protocols were observed throughout the procurement and contracting process. The disclosure emphasises compliance with statutory norms and seeks to reassure stakeholders regarding arms length conduct in the engagements.

The twin orders are expected to strengthen RVNL's diversified infrastructure portfolio beyond rail projects and to support NMDC's workforce at its mining operations in the region. With a 34-month timeline, the projects are anticipated to provide steady revenue visibility and to contribute positively to RVNL's order book over the next three years.
