Signature Global to Invest Rs 3.8 Billion in Seismic Tech
The company has signed a memorandum of understanding worth Rs 3.8 billion with CECO Hirun Pvt Ltd, an Indo-Italian joint venture, to deploy the specialised construction technology.
According to Signature Global, the investment will be used to incorporate Hysteretic Tuned Mass Dampers, or HTMDs, into its projects. This system is designed to significantly reduce structural vibrations in high-rise buildings caused by wind forces and seismic activity, thereby enhancing overall safety and structural resilience.
The adoption of HTMD technology is part of the company’s broader focus on improving construction quality and safety standards, particularly in regions prone to seismic risk.
