Sterling Holiday Resorts has announced the launch of Sterling Darshan Guruvayur, its second property in the sacred temple town of Guruvayur. With this addition, Sterling becomes the national brand with the largest number of keys in Guruvayur, offering pilgrims and travellers a wider choice of stays while maintaining its signature warmth and hospitality.
Located just steps away from the 5,000-year-old Sri Krishna Temple, the new resort has been designed as a tranquil retreat for pilgrims, families, and cultural explorers. It features 30 rooms, authentic Kerala dining at Annapoorani Restaurant, and curated spiritual and cultural experiences arranged through the in-house travel desk.
The resort complements the existing Sterling Guruvayur, giving visitors two distinct yet spiritually aligned options. Guests can also combine their visit with nearby Sterling resorts in Athirappilly, Munnar, and Alleppey, blending spiritual, cultural, and leisure experiences across Kerala.
Sterling Darshan Guruvayur also emerges as the largest venue in the town for weddings and social gatherings. Its spacious Kalyan Mandapam, with a capacity of 300 guests and a dedicated dining hall, provides a prime setting for traditional ceremonies and large-scale events.
“With Sterling Darshan Guruvayur, we are deepening our footprint in one of India’s most revered pilgrimage destinations. Together with our first property, we are proud to offer travellers more choice than ever. In line with the rise in spiritual tourism, we will continue to expand into heritage destinations across India,” said Vikram Lalvani, MD & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts.
Jose Matthew, Owner and Managing Director of EVM Motels Pvt. Ltd., added: “Guruvayur has always been a hub for spiritual tourism, and with Sterling Darshan, we are bringing a new dimension—one that celebrates pilgrimage, weddings, and cultural gatherings. The large Kalyan Mandapam, combined with Sterling’s trusted hospitality, makes this a landmark property.”
