Ventive Hospitality, along with its Promoter Group Companies, has expanded its partnership with Marriott International through the signing of management contracts for seven new hotels totalling 1,548 rooms across India and Sri Lanka. The agreement spans luxury, upper-upscale, and upscale segments, and includes key brand debuts in Varanasi, Mundra, Pune, Navi Mumbai, and Sri Lanka.
Three of the hotels—Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Pottuvil (Sri Lanka), Varanasi Marriott Hotel, and Courtyard by Marriott Mundra—are being developed directly by Ventive Hospitality and its subsidiaries. The remaining four—JW Marriott Navi Mumbai, Moxy Navi Mumbai, Moxy Pune Wakad, and Moxy Pune Kharadi—are being developed by Promoter Group entities under a Right of First Offer or similar arrangement, and will eventually be transferred to Ventive Hospitality.
This development is considered one of the largest partnerships in India’s luxury hospitality segment. The Ritz-Carlton Reserve, featuring 73 villas and 80 branded residences, will mark the brand’s entry into Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Moxy Hotels will make its Indian debut in Pune and Navi Mumbai.
Atul Chordia, Chairman and Executive Director, Ventive Hospitality, said, “This partnership strengthens our long-standing relationship with Marriott and marks a pivotal moment in our journey to redefine hospitality in India.”
Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific (excluding China), Marriott International, added, “These projects align with our strategy to grow in locations with rising demand for luxury and lifestyle experiences.”
Ranjit Batra, CEO, Ventive Hospitality, noted the collaboration aims to drive aggressive growth while delivering globally benchmarked guest experiences.
With this expansion, Ventive aims to build on its real estate expertise and Marriott’s global brand recognition to scale operations beyond existing markets in Pune, Bengaluru, and the Maldives.
