Adani Enterprises gets 130 acres land for data centre park in Vizag

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved 130 acres of land for Adani Enterprises for the development of a data centre park and other projects aimed at attracting over Rs 14,000 crore in investment.
The cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, also approved tourism projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, according to an official release.
Cabinet has approved administrative sanction for the construction of a fishing harbour at Vodarevu in Prakasam district, as well as allotment of 130 acres of land to Adani Enterprises in Madhurawada, Visakhapatnam, for the development of a 200 MW data centre park, Business Park, Skill university, and Recreation center, with an estimated investment of 14,634 crore and committed employment of 24,990 jobs.
For the development of the tourism sector, the Cabinet approved allotting land for the construction of luxury resorts in five locations across the state.
The cabinet also approved ISKON Charities' request for land in Penukonda, Anantapur district, to build a Mega Spiritual Center and Tourist Base Camp at the foothills of Sri Ganagiri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple.
Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) is the only company in the country with the ability to build data centres.
In Visakhapatnam, India, Adani is also building a data centre campus.
Adani and EdgeConneX formed a new joint venture to develop data centres in India earlier this year. AdaniConneX, the new company, is building a data centre for Flipkart in Chennai.
