Andhra Pradesh government (AP government) has allotted 855 acres to Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) at Bhogapuram for the development of an artificial intelligence data centre campus. The allocation is intended to support large scale computing infrastructure and associated facilities. Officials indicated the land will be used to build campuses for data storage, server operations and technical support. The development will be planned to accommodate phased expansion and integration with existing industrial zones.

RIL will be responsible for site development, regulatory compliance and the installation of power and cooling systems necessary for high density computing and adherence to industry standards. The project scope as described by authorities includes secure buildings, network connectivity and logistical access to support continuous operations. The AP government will oversee land transfer procedures and provide necessary clearances. Coordination with central agencies and utility providers will be necessary to ensure reliable electricity and broadband connectivity.

The Bhogapuram site has been selected for its proximity to transport links and availability of contiguous land which can accommodate modular growth. The authorities expect the location to offer operational advantages while allowing phased construction to match demand and to facilitate secure logistics for equipment and materials during build out. RIL plans to coordinate with local agencies on environmental and community considerations during construction. Local administration will monitor adherence to environmental norms and resource management.

The allocation underscores a growing focus by state governments on attracting large cloud and artificial intelligence investments to strengthen digital infrastructure. Stakeholders noted that such facilities require sustained power, fibre connectivity and skilled maintenance, which will shape ancillary investments in the region and will encourage local service providers to upgrade capacity. Both the AP government and RIL will move through established approvals before construction commences.
