Cyient Opens Network Modernisation Experience Centre in Lisbon

Cyient Limited has inaugurated its new Network Modernisation Customer Experience Centre (CEC) in Lisbon, Portugal, marking a major step in the company’s global expansion in intelligent engineering and digital infrastructure.

Unveiled by the Indian Ambassador to Portugal, Puneet R. Kundal, along with Cyient’s Executive Director and CEO Sukamal Banerjee, the centre is designed as a collaborative innovation space where customers and partners can engage with the company’s latest solutions, rapidly prototype new ideas and accelerate network-modernisation programmes.

The centre brings together Cyient’s expertise in network engineering, autonomous networks and cognitive Network Operations Centres (NOCs) under one roof. It enables operators to explore future-ready technologies and automation tools that simplify, secure and modernise complex network architectures.

The Lisbon CEC features three core showcases:

Pre-Integration Lab: Multi-vendor O-RAN integration, energy-saving solutions, network slicing, anomaly detection and site surveillance to support scalable enterprise 5G and beyond.

AI-powered NOC: Intelligent network fulfilment and assurance workflows, including root-cause analysis and predictive maintenance driven by agentic AI systems.

Fibre Evolution Showcase: Automated network-data migration across the fibre lifecycle, supporting mergers, acquisitions and monetisation strategies for operators.

Ambassador Kundal said the centre reflects the deepening India–Portugal partnership in technology and digital infrastructure, noting that Cyient is helping global operators build more secure, resilient and sustainable networks.

Arunav Roy, SVP and Global Business Unit Head, Connectivity, described the CEC as a launchpad for next-generation network upgrades, enabling operators to accelerate automation and modernisation with measurable outcomes.

The Lisbon CEC complements the CyientifIQ Experience Centre in Hyderabad and strengthens Cyient’s global innovation footprint as it continues to deliver intelligent engineering solutions for over 300 clients worldwide.
