Delvitech, a Swiss developer of AI-native Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) solutions, has recently announced plans to establish a manufacturing and technology facility in Bengaluru.

The company will make an initial investment of USD 10 million in the facility, with the overall investment planned at USD 25-30 million. Spread across 65,000 sq ft, the plant is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2027.

The facility is expected to create 500-800 jobs over the next five years and develop manufacturing, engineering and technical capabilities in India.

Delvitech also showcased its Horus, Aton and Horus Dual Lane inspection solutions at productronica India 2026 in Bengaluru. The company demonstrated applications of physical AI in electronics inspection, with a focus on cost, time and sustainability.

At the new facility, critical components will be inspected using in-house Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and metrology equipment. The plant will integrate mechanical, electrical, optical, software and control systems, supported by engineering and R&D functions for localisation and continuous improvement.

The Bengaluru facility will also function as a customer support centre and include a demonstration area where customers can evaluate machines locally.

Delvitech expects the facility to support Indian original equipment manufacturers and electronics manufacturing services companies as they expand production and increase the use of automation and traceability.
