Digital India Session Highlights India AI Impact Summit 2026

The 38th episode of Digital India – Ask Our Experts, held recently, highlighted the upcoming India AI Impact Summit 2026 as a defining milestone in India’s Artificial Intelligence journey. The session positioned the Summit as a global platform focused on building responsible, inclusive and people-centric AI ecosystems.

Officials from IndiaAI and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) addressed questions from citizens, startups, students and professionals on India’s AI roadmap. Discussions covered policy direction, future skills, data science, startup participation and opportunities for wider ecosystem engagement.

Experts explained that the Summit is structured around three guiding pillars—People, Planet and Progress—supported by focused working groups or ‘Chakras’. Outcomes from these discussions are expected to influence AI policy, skilling frameworks and real-world implementation across India and the Global South.

The session also highlighted opportunities for youth, women innovators and participants from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, including AI and data labs, global challenges, pitch platforms and the YUVAI Global Youth Challenge. Viewers were informed about the India AI Impact Expo 2026, scheduled at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, which will showcase real-world AI applications across education, healthcare, agriculture and governance.

Responding to queries on infrastructure, open data access, healthcare datasets and inclusion of non-technical users, officials reiterated IndiaAI’s focus on open, secure and inclusive platforms that enable participation from individuals, startups and public sector organisations.

The episode concluded with a call for citizens to register, participate and contribute to India’s growing AI ecosystem through the Summit platform. The interactive session witnessed strong engagement nationwide, reinforcing the role of Digital India – Ask Our Experts as a key channel for informed dialogue on emerging digital technologies.
