Bengaluru-based Physical AI startup Flo Mobility has raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Mela Ventures and Arali Ventures to scale its construction robotics and autonomy platform.
Founded in 2021 by Manesh Jain and Pratik Patel, the company develops AI-driven robotics solutions for construction sites, focusing on automating material movement and other labour-intensive operations. The latest funding will be used to scale manufacturing, strengthen its AI and autonomy stack, expand deployments across India and enter international markets, including the Middle East.
Flo Mobility’s flagship product, the Flo Hauler, is a battery-powered autonomous mobile robot designed for construction environments. The robot can carry loads of up to 1.5 tonnes across uneven terrain and multi-floor construction sites.
The company said it has deployed more than 60 robots across 10 states, working with developers including L&T, Godrej Properties, Embassy Group and Sobha. According to the company, deployments have resulted in around 45 per cent cost savings, 50 per cent faster material movement and a 67 per cent reduction in accidents.
Flo Mobility plans to further invest in product development and automation applications including tiling, screeding and wall finishing.
