Gujarat based construction technology startup MiCoB has secured a Rs 300 million investment commitment on Vande Bharatam, a nationwide initiative launched by Gautam Adani to identify grassroots innovators and entrepreneurs. The commitment, made on Episode 7 of the programme, is the largest single investment commitment recorded on the show during its inaugural season.
The investment was jointly offered by Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO of Flipkart, in his personal capacity, and Ashutosh Valani, Co Founder of RENÉE Cosmetics. Separately, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, offered support for MiCoB's ongoing and future construction projects, potentially opening opportunities to deploy its technology across Adani Group infrastructure.
Founded by Ankita Sinha, Shashank Shekhar and Rishabh Mathur, MiCoB has developed a full stack Digital Construction Manufacturing platform that integrates robotic 3D printing with printable concrete materials, automated batching, intelligent mixing and pumping, controlled extrusion, robotic deposition, digital process planning and quality control.
The platform is designed to reduce dependence on conventional formwork and manual site execution while enabling faster construction, lower material wastage and more consistent quality.
MiCoB's technology is already being deployed across defence, infrastructure and civil construction applications, including bunkers, retaining structures, modular buildings, hospitality structures and industrial components. The company positions its platform as a technology and execution solution for large infrastructure projects.
Karan Adani said MiCoB demonstrated how deep tech could be applied to real infrastructure requirements, while Krishnamurthy said the startup's deployment beyond the laboratory and across real world construction applications was a key factor in his decision to support the company.
MiCoB's investment commitment came as Vande Bharatam brought together startups and investors across its inaugural season. The programme concluded on September 19, with MiCoB subsequently emerging as the overall winner. The season reportedly generated investment commitments of Rs 500 million across participating startups.
