Uttarakhand To Host AI Impact Summit Ahead Of 2026 Global Meet
The summit will be attended by Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology and Commerce and Industry, along with senior officials from MeitY and the Uttarakhand government.
The India–AI Impact Summit 2026 will be the first global artificial intelligence forum hosted in the Global South, reflecting India’s growing leadership in shaping global AI policy. Guided by the national vision of ‘AI for All’, the summit seeks to harness AI for social inclusion, innovation, and improved public service delivery.
Built on three guiding principles — People, Planet, and Progress — the initiative promotes AI that serves humanity, safeguards the environment, and drives inclusive growth. These principles, or Sutras, are implemented through seven thematic Chakras that focus on practical collaboration in areas such as human capital, inclusion, safety, innovation, science, and equitable access to AI infrastructure.
The Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit 2025, organised under the aegis of the national summit, will position the state as a frontrunner in responsible and inclusive AI-driven growth. It will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, startups, and academia to explore how AI can drive sustainable development in line with the state’s Digital Uttarakhand Vision.
The pre-summit will also showcase AI-led innovations and entrepreneurial ventures that are transforming Uttarakhand’s economy. Startups supported by IIM Kashipur and STPI Dehradun will present cutting-edge solutions, while keynote sessions will outline the state’s IT roadmap and AI governance strategy for future growth.
The event aligns with India’s Digital Transformation Agenda and the IndiaAI Mission, reinforcing MeitY’s commitment to advancing trustworthy, ethical, and inclusive AI.
The upcoming India–AI Impact Summit 2026, hosted by MeitY, will serve as a global platform to demonstrate how AI can enable inclusive development, sustainability, and equitable progress. It will unite leaders, innovators, and policymakers to chart a shared vision of AI that benefits society at large.
