A Revanth Reddy asks officials to make Warrangal's master plan 2050
During a review meeting on Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) development with ministers and officials in Warangal, Reddy underlined the importance of transforming Warangal into a heritage city. He urged the officials to expedite land acquisition for the Inner and Outer Ring Roads and to provide detailed funding requirements.
The chief minister suggested designing the proposed Outer Ring Road to interconnect national highways within the city. He also emphasised the need for a road linking the Outer Ring Road to the Textile Park in Warangal.
Reddy directed officials to develop an underground drainage system under the 'Smart City mission,' lay drinking water pipelines, and prevent encroachment of 'Nalas' (drains). Expressing frustration over the increased estimated cost of constructing the super-specialty hospital in Warangal, Reddy questioned the unauthorised rise in costs from Rs 11 billion to Rs 17.26 billion. He ordered a full forensic audit of the construction expenses.
Later, at the inauguration of a private hospital, Reddy highlighted the government's efforts to position Telangana as a 'medical tourism hub.' He mentioned plans to provide a 'digital health profile card' and facilitate free medical treatment for every citizen in the state.
