Adani Wind Secures 696.2 MW Turbine Orders from Power Producers

Adani Wind, the wind energy business of Adani New Industries, has secured orders totalling 696.2 MW from five power producers. The contracts include 300 MW from Purvah Green Power and 155 MW from Jindal India Power, with the remaining orders placed by Aditya Birla Renewables, NTPC Renewable Energy and Integrum Energy.

The company will supply its 5.2 MW, 5 MW and 3.3 MW wind turbine platforms for projects planned across Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The installations are intended to increase wind power generation capacity and support rising demand for renewable energy in India.

The latest contracts have taken Adani Wind’s cumulative order book from independent power producers outside the Adani Group beyond 1 GW. The milestone strengthens the company’s position among external power producers and adds to its presence in India’s expanding wind energy market.

Adani Wind is also planning to raise its annual manufacturing capacity at Mundra in Gujarat from 2.25 GW to 5 GW. The proposed increase is intended to improve the company’s ability to fulfil turbine orders and support the development of large-scale renewable energy projects.

The company’s higher-capacity turbine platforms are designed to operate in varying wind conditions, allowing project developers to select equipment suited to individual locations. Adani Wind’s growing order book and manufacturing plans provide a platform for expansion in India, while its turbine portfolio could also support efforts to address international demand for wind energy equipment.
