Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development projects of the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation in Gujarat, with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other dignitaries in attendance. The projects comprise civic and infrastructure works valued at Rs 6.2 billion, reflecting initiatives by the Gujarat government and the municipal corporation to improve public amenities in Gandhinagar. Amit Shah described the works as part of a continuing development journey initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as chief minister and linked that continuity to recent electoral support.

He said the party secured victories across local bodies in the state, claiming wins in all 15 municipal corporations and 77 of 84 municipalities, along with 33 of 34 district panchayats and 253 of 260 taluka panchayats. He argued that this performance generated self-confidence among party leaders rather than arrogance and stressed that maintaining the tradition of victory is the responsibility of leadership and workers. The minister credited people-centric engagement and continuous problem resolution for strengthening public trust in the party.

He recalled the role of party workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, noting their assistance in transporting patients, facilitating testing and vaccination arrangements and supporting citizens in distress. He observed that several workers contracted the disease and some lost their lives while serving society and said that their dedication reinforced public confidence. The minister indicated that such grassroots efforts underpin the party's claim to popular support.

He also addressed gains in West Bengal, stating that the party and its allies won 207 seats amid high temperatures of 42 degrees Celsius and public meetings. He compared historical levels of development in Gujarat and Bengal and asserted that prolonged misrule had impeded progress in the latter, while the people entrusted the party with forming the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that governments led by the party are in power in states along the Ganga and that the alliance now governs in nearly 80 per cent of the country, attributing electoral success to booth-level workers.
