Ampvolts Limited, a leading Indian electric vehicle infrastructure and green mobility solutions provider, has secured a long-term logistics contract from GHCL Limited for the transportation of imported commodities from Pipavav Port to GHCL’s factory in Sutrapada, Gujarat. Under the terms of the agreement, Ampvolts will deploy 10 electric trucks with a capacity of 55 tonnes each, operating through one of GHCL’s empanelled Local Service Providers (LSPs).
This agreement ensures a Minimum Usage Guarantee (MUG) for Ampvolts’ charging stations along the designated route, supporting a steady revenue stream and healthy EBITDA margins for the company. The deployment also aligns with broader ESG goals, supporting carbon footprint reduction through zero-emission trucking (ZET) operations.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr Vipul Chauhan, Managing Director of Ampvolts Limited, said, “We greatly appreciate the visionary leadership of Mr P. N. Rao, Vice President – Commercial at GHCL, whose commitment to developing a green freight corridor in Gujarat has been instrumental. This collaboration gives us a platform to demonstrate a fully sustainable logistics solution, delivering Zero Emission Trucking while supporting ESG compliance.”
He further added, “Our strength lies in building tailored EV charging infrastructure, and we have already identified strong local partners to support this corridor. Our scalable charging solutions are ready to handle both current demand and future increases in EV freight traffic. We are committed to offering a reliable, long-term ecosystem for green mobility to corporate clients like GHCL.”
The deal marks a significant step forward in decarbonising industrial logistics in western India and reinforces Ampvolts’ growing presence in the commercial EV and infrastructure segment.
