The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has intensified the second phase of the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS 2.0) for Amaravati and stepped up field surveys and outreach. The authority's Additional Commissioner, A Bhargava Teja, conducted inspections of ongoing enjoyment surveys and instructed officials and survey staff to expedite work and ensure accuracy. The inspections form part of a broader push to implement LPS 2.0 across the capital region.

Inspections covered the villages of Vaddamanu, Karlapudi and Endrayi, where officials verified survey lines and cadastral records. Farmers who met the delegation conveyed satisfaction with government assurances on annual lease payments, loan waivers and scheduled yearly lease increases, and APCRDA officials confirmed that lease benefits under LPS 2.0 will commence from May 2026. The authority emphasised the need for transparent communication with landowners and prompt resolution of discrepancies.

The inspection team included BL Chennakeshwar Rao, Director of Lands for the capital region, G Panduranga Ramakrishnan, Deputy Director of Survey, N Yesuratnam, Deputy Collector, and multiple survey teams. In a separate development, Kollabattula Karthik formally assumed charge as Additional Commissioner at the APCRDA headquarters in Rayapudi and performed puja in his chamber on the third floor. He was welcomed by Joint Director of Communications G Ramaraju and received by senior management.

APCRDA announced that a weekly Grievance Day for Amaravati farmers and agricultural labourers will now be held on Mondays rather than Saturdays, to facilitate access to officials. From 10.00 am to one pm every Monday the Commissioner and Additional Commissioner, accompanied by senior departmental officers, will receive petitions at the APCRDA head office in Rayapudi. Residents were reminded that petitions may also be submitted on working days during office hours at the Citizen Grievance Centre located at the head office.
