Aster DM Opens Rs 1.9 Billion Hospital In Kasaragod

Aster DM Healthcare has announced the commissioning of its new 264-bed multispecialty hospital in Kasaragod, Kerala, established with an investment of Rs 1.9 billion.
The newly launched Aster MIMS Kasaragod spans 210,000 square feet and houses 31 medical specialities. The facility is designed to provide advanced and accessible medical and surgical care to residents of northern Kerala, the company said in a statement.
Inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the hospital marks Aster DM Healthcare’s eighth facility in the state.
Dr Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, described the launch as a major step in expanding the group’s footprint in Kerala. “The launch of Aster MIMS Kasaragod is a momentous milestone as we strengthen our presence with our eighth hospital in the state,” he said.
“With this 264-bed facility, we are bringing advanced medical technologies, comprehensive specialities, and expert care closer to the people of northern Kerala,” he added.
The hospital’s wide range of medical departments and modern infrastructure are expected to enhance healthcare accessibility in a region that has traditionally lacked tertiary-level medical facilities.
