Attero to invest Rs.1 billion in rare earth recycling scale-up

As per news reports, Attero Recycling plans to invest Rs.1 billion to enhance its rare earth recycling capacity to 30,000 TPA by early 2026. The expansion aims to reduce India’s reliance on imported critical minerals such as neodymium, dysprosium, terbium, and praseodymium—key inputs for electric vehicles, wind turbines, and electronics. Attero, which operates a facility in Roorkee, currently recycles e-waste to extract precious metals and rare earth elements.
