Ayodhya receives Rs 1.33 billion for improved infrastructure

After cabinet meeting, it was decided to allocate a budget of Rs 1.33 billion to enhance facilities and amenities for the numerous tourists and devotees visiting Ayodhya. The allocation will be implemented gradually to establish toilets, information centres, and streamline pedestrian movement at religious sites in the temple town.

A deadline of December 2025 has been set by the state to complete all the projects, and a detailed list has been prepared. The department of religious affairs emphasized the urgency of the state government focusing on enhancing the infrastructure around religious places, particularly those near the under-construction Ram temple.

The cabinet appointed the Ayodhya development authority as the nodal agency responsible for executing the works in coordination with the department of religious affairs.
