Balu Forge Starts Precision Machining Line In Belgaum

Balu Forge Industries Ltd (Balu Forge), a precision engineering firm specialising in forged and machined components, has commenced operations of its new precision machining line at the company’s manufacturing campus in Belgaum, Karnataka. The facility features 7-Axis and 11-Axis CNC machines, marking one of the first such advanced installations in the region.
The new line significantly enhances Balu Forge’s ability to deliver high-precision machining solutions for critical sectors such as railways, defence, aerospace, and other precision industries. It enables the manufacture of complex components with greater accuracy, shorter setup times, and higher levels of customisation. Designed for tight-tolerance and complex-geometry applications, the line supports faster turnaround and improved production efficiency.
Equipped with CNC machinery from leading manufacturers in Spain and Germany, the multi-axis line can process components up to 2.5 metres in length and handle a range of materials including aluminium and titanium. This capability expands the company’s product portfolio to include critical components such as valve bodies, impellers, turbine blades, brackets, and landing gear parts. The new line adds an estimated 12,000 tonnes per annum in machining capacity.
This milestone is part of Balu Forge’s long-term strategy to strengthen its precision engineering portfolio across industries and global markets, with a focus on fully machined components. It also aligns with the company’s broader plan to commercialise its greenfield facility in Belgaum, which will soon house multiple high-precision production lines catering to defence and aerospace applications.
