Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Bentley Systems) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) to advance digital infrastructure education and strengthen industry-ready skill development. The agreement will establish a Centre of Infrastructure Innovation on the CET campus as a dedicated space for immersive learning, applied research and specialised training. Focus areas will include sustainable design practices, digital construction workflows and asset lifecycle management powered by artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies. Students and faculty will gain hands-on experience with Bentley Systems applications such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and OpenFlows.

In addition to software access, the partnership will broaden practical learning pathways through the Bentley Education platform, which provides structured learning modules, certifications and project-based training aligned with global industry benchmarks. Academic programmes will be enriched and practical learning strengthened by curriculum enhancement, faculty development and joint research initiatives. The initiative is intended to bridge academia and industry and to produce graduates with both technical capability and professional readiness.

The regional executive for South Asia at Bentley Systems described the collaboration as part of a commitment to cultivate India’s next generation of infrastructure professionals and to foster stronger ties between industry and academia through advanced digital learning and collaborative research. The principal of the College of Engineering Trivandrum characterised the MoU as an important milestone for experiential learning and professional readiness in infrastructure engineering. Together, the institutions aim to build a talent pipeline equipped to contribute to major infrastructure programmes and digital transformation.

The partnership aligns with national objectives such as Viksit Bharat 2047 by contributing to a skilled, future-ready workforce capable of advancing infrastructure projects.
