Bharat Electricity Summit To Showcase Rs50 tn Investment Opportunities
Senior speakers will include Union ministers, the secretary of the Ministry of Power and the chairperson of the Central Electricity Authority, with representatives from more than 25 states and union territories. The Summit will spotlight investment opportunities estimated at Rs50 trillion (tn) in generation, transmission, distribution and energy storage through to 2032, with emphasis on Make in India and vendor development to advance indigenisation of key technologies. International CEOs and utility leaders will participate in ministerial dialogues and CEO forums to drive collaboration on financing, supply chains and technology deployment.
A large-scale exhibition across more than 20,000 square metres will showcase technologies across generation, transmission, renewables, storage and smart grid systems and will include dedicated zones for startups and innovation. The programme comprises more than 50 high-level sessions, technical conferences and leadership panels, with thematic discussions on stationary energy storage, Industry four point zero technologies in transmission, hydropower development, carbon markets and legal and regulatory frameworks. Special sessions will focus on youth, women in electricity leadership and structured buyer-seller meetings to connect international procurement agencies with Indian manufacturers.
Aligned with the Prime Minister's vision for energy security and sustainability, organisers expect the Summit to catalyse investment, partnerships and capacity building to strengthen India's role in the global electricity ecosystem. Delegations from over 80 countries and representatives of utilities, financial institutions, manufacturers and academia will use forums to explore project pipelines and procurement opportunities. The event, organised by the Ministry of Power with industry partners, aims to accelerate deployment of clean energy technologies and enhance resilience in the power sector.
