Bridgestone Aircraft Tire Europe (BAE), a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, has recently received a Gold rating from EcoVadis, the internationally recognised sustainability assessment platform. The achievement places BAE among the top five per cent of over 130,000 companies evaluated worldwide across 220 industry sectors, marking a significant progression since 2023.
Commenting on the milestone, Jean-Philippe Minet, Managing Director of BAE, said the Gold rating reflects the company’s rapid advancement on its sustainability journey, following a Bronze rating two years earlier and a top 15 per cent ranking last year. He added that the recognition highlights the collective commitment of the BAE team towards building a more sustainable commercial aviation sector.
The 2025 EcoVadis Gold rating coincides with several key sustainability milestones for the company. These include the completion of a comprehensive carbon footprint assessment covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3, the execution of an energy audit and development of a decarbonisation roadmap, and the achievement of zero lost-time accidents for four consecutive years.
BAE has also undertaken multiple initiatives aligned with the Bridgestone E8 Commitment, including partnerships supporting regional and national sports, charitable activities, cancer support organisations and programmes for underprivileged children.
EcoVadis assessments measure how effectively organisations integrate sustainability into their business and management systems across four core pillars: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
