Bridgestone Corporation has expanded its premium agricultural tyre portfolio with the launch of six new extra-large (XXL) VT-TRACTOR tyre sizes designed for the latest generation of high-horsepower tractors. The new additions span 38- to 46-inch rim diameters, including new 44-inch and 46-inch sizes.

The company said the upgraded VT-TRACTOR XXL range has been developed to deliver higher traction, improved durability and longer wear life while supporting greater operational efficiency in demanding agricultural conditions. The tyres also feature an optimised rolling circumference aimed at improving compatibility between front and rear tyre combinations.

Andrea Marconcini said farmers are increasingly operating larger and more powerful tractors that require tyres capable of delivering higher performance and durability. He added that the updated VT-TRACTOR range is engineered to improve field efficiency while lowering long-term operating costs through extended service life.

Bridgestone stated that the new tyres have been developed using advanced 3D virtual simulation and feature deeper tread depth and wider tread width for improved traction and wear performance. A patented involute lug design provides up to 12% more lug volume compared to competing products, helping maximise traction while reducing energy loss.

The tyres also incorporate Bridgestone’s S-LINE bead profile, which enhances flexibility at lower pressures to reduce soil compaction while maintaining durability under heavy loads. The company said the design also helps prevent rim slip, shoulder cracks and driveline stress while improving fuel efficiency and vehicle stability.

Compatible with Central Tyre Inflation Systems (CTIS), the new VT-TRACTOR XXL tyres will be manufactured at Bridgestone’s Puente San Miguel facility in Spain. The range will be introduced progressively from April 2026 to support a wider range of modern agricultural machinery.
