Budhaina Village Set For Rs 140 mn Development Plan
The corporation has identified Budhaina as one of 24 villages prioritised for development and has underlined the need for timely delivery. Contractors will face penalties for delays and the corporation will enforce performance conditions in the contract to ensure accountability. Officials have set implementation and inspection standards intended to reduce slippage and accelerate completion.
Local residents have long complained about the state of the village park, which suffers from broken swings and non functional open gym equipment, and about roads whose condition has worsened with limited maintenance. The lack of upkeep has left certain neighbourhoods looking neglected and has affected daily life and mobility for residents, particularly during monsoon periods. Community members expressed hope that the planned interventions will restore basic services and public spaces.
The development plan is intended to improve sanitation, water supply and road safety while enhancing recreational spaces and general civic amenities. The corporation will coordinate with the executing agency to oversee quality and compliance and to apply penalties where necessary, while using video documentation as a control mechanism. Residents and civic representatives will be able to assess visible improvements as the work proceeds and the upgrades are expected to raise living standards in the village.
