Builders Urge Government to Lift Construction Ban in NCR
Harsh Vardhan Bansal, president of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) Delhi, highlighted the far-reaching impact on over 150 industries connected to real estate, emphasising the economic strain caused by the ban.
Developers have asked for clarity on the implementation of GRAP Stage 4 rules, which have halted construction. They also request exemption for RERA-approved projects, suggesting a balance between environmental concerns and economic stability.
The extended ban has created challenges for the real estate sector, causing reverse migration of workers and disruption of ongoing projects. Builders are calling for a more permanent solution to prevent further delays and hardships.
