CAQM Inspects 105 Units in Major Enforcement Drive in Nuh
The inspection, carried out on 2 January 2026, covered both conforming and non-conforming industrial areas and was led by the district administration, including deputy commissioners and duty magistrates, with support from the Haryana State Pollution Control Board and local police authorities.
A total of 105 inspections were undertaken, including five construction and demolition sites and 100 industrial units. The industrial facilities comprised 86 stone crushers, five tyre pyrolysis plants, five ready-mix concrete plants, three hot-mix plants and one screening and washing unit.
The inspections were conducted when actions up to Stage III of the extant Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) were in force across the NCR. In line with GRAP provisions, most industrial units and C&D sites were found non-operational, closed or dismantled. However, violations related to diesel generator set usage were reported in three units, in contravention of Direction No. 76 issued by the Commission.
CAQM stated that such stringent enforcement is critical to curb non-compliance, reduce emissions at source and provide relief to residents in affected areas. The Nuh operation forms part of a broader enforcement initiative to intensify on-ground monitoring during the GRAP period in close coordination with state governments and district authorities across the NCR.
