CAQM Lifts GRAP Stage-III Curbs Across NCR as AQI Improves
27 Nov 2025 CW Team
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has withdrawn all measures under Stage-III of the Graded Response Action Plan across the National Capital Region following a sustained improvement in Delhi’s air quality. The city’s 24-hour average AQI has eased from 391 on 23 November to 327 recently, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board. The Sub-Committee reviewed forecasts from IMD and IITM before revoking the stricter curbs, which had been in place since the AQI crossed 400 on 11 November.
Authorities will continue to implement and monitor measures under Stages I and II to prevent any worsening of air quality. Construction sites earlier closed for violations will not be allowed to resume without specific approval. With winter conditions remaining unfavourable, residents have been urged to follow the GRAP citizen charter. The Sub-Committee will keep assessing conditions based on updated meteorological and AQI data.
