The projects were reviewed in a high-level meeting chaired by DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Bhatia, which addressed nineteen issues delaying implementation. Among the highlighted initiatives is the Rs 3.16 Bn four-laning of the Jaunpur-Akbarpur road, expected to boost regional connectivity once completed.

Also under review are new Employees’ State Insurance hospitals in underserved areas to improve healthcare access for workers and their families. Additionally, the construction of a permanent campus for the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Sumari, Uttarakhand aims to strengthen technical education and regional development.

Officials stressed the need for improved coordination between ministries and states to overcome delays. Bhatia urged stakeholders to utilise the PMG platform more actively to remove bottlenecks and enhance private sector participation.

The Centre reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating infrastructure development as a catalyst for economic growth.
