CenturyPly To Invest Rs 25-27 Billion To Double Revenue By 2031
Executives explained the firm has assumed an asset turnover ratio of one to one point five, under which the planned capital expenditure of Rs 25-27 bn would be sufficient to deliver the required revenue uplift. The investment programme is expected to span five years and will include strengthening of logistics operations in Bengal where the group operates a cluster of berths at Calcutta's Khidderpore Docks. The company views the state as having an improving growth trajectory and plans targeted spending there.
Alongside capacity expansion, CenturyPly launched Total Cover, a 10-year warranty programme covering premium plywood, laminates, veneers, adhesives, labour and transportation costs arising from covered defects. The warranty was described as the result of nearly two years of development and extends protection to whole furniture rather than only the plywood. Management said the programme is intended to bolster product confidence and support aftersales services across its dealer network.
The firm said it expects its existing asset base to contribute substantially to near term revenue while new projects will drive medium term growth and help meet the doubling objective by 2031. Executives signalled that the investment will be staged and aligned with demand conditions and operational readiness at new sites. The company indicated that the combination of capacity additions and logistical enhancements would underpin its strategy to reach the revised revenue target.
