Detailed discussions covered administration, pension administration, internal audit, revenue management and Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) related activities. Participants noted the importance of inter-circle collaboration to address systemic issues.
Field units presented achievements, challenges and ongoing work in revenue assessment, prevention of leakages, pension service delivery and strengthening of internal audit mechanisms, allowing a consolidated view of operational priorities across circles. The Eastern Region collectively deals with around 350 telecom licensees and authorisations, handles annual revenue collection of approximately Rs 40 bn, and provides pension services to more than 60,000 pensioners through the SAMPANN platform, reflecting the scale of operational and service delivery responsibilities.

The meeting emphasised replication of best practices across circles, timely resolution of audit observations, strengthening of revenue monitoring and continued improvement of service delivery to pensioners and stakeholders, with a view to enhancing accountability and efficiency across the Eastern Region. Follow-up actions and monitoring mechanisms were identified to ensure implementation of recommendations.
