The Commercial Court in Dehradun, Uttarakhand has dismissed both petitions filed by the Public Works Department, Government of Uttarakhand under section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and has upheld the arbitration award dated 14 December 2024 in favour of MBL Infrastructure Limited (MBL Infrastructure) for the project of improvement and strengthening of roads in the district of Udham Singh Nagar, package number C-2. The company described the present filing as an update to its communication dated 16 December 2024. The ruling was reported to the stock exchanges in line with regulatory obligations.

The petitions had sought to set aside the award but the court found no legally sustainable basis to overturn the arbitral finding and dismissed both challenges. This outcome sustains the award in full and clarifies the enforceability of the arbitral determination. The decision therefore removes a principal legal obstacle to recovery of sums due to the company.

The value of the arbitration award including interest is Rs 827.7 million (mn) as on 27 July 2026 and further interest is continuing at 12 per cent p.a. until the date of payment to the company. Interest will accrue in accordance with the award and court order and the company will pursue receipt of the cumulative amount due through available legal and enforcement mechanisms. The court ruling provides a clear basis to advance recovery steps and conclude outstanding financial settlement under the contract.

The company confirmed that this disclosure fulfils obligations under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015 and that stakeholders have been informed via exchange filings.
