Delhi approves multiutility duct pilot in Chandni Chowk

The Delhi government has approved a pilot multi-utility duct project in Chandni Chowk to streamline underground utility management in the historic commercial district. The system will integrate services such as electricity, telecommunications and other utility networks into a shared underground corridor. The initiative aims to reduce repeated road excavations, improve maintenance efficiency and enhance urban aesthetics. The pilot project will help evaluate the feasibility of implementing similar infrastructure solutions across other densely populated areas of Delhi.
