Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced the development of a dedicated logistics hub in Dhule, aiming to spur industrial growth and modernise the city's infrastructure. The announcement came during a high-level review at the state assembly complex in Mumbai, focusing on development priorities for the Dhule City Assembly Constituency.

Recognising Dhule’s strategic location and increasing population, the Chief Minister directed officials to assess the proposed logistics hub’s technical, financial, and operational viability, stressing that further steps must be based on expert evaluations.

The plan includes a comprehensive push to upgrade infrastructure for both industrial and civic needs. Detailed feasibility studies have been ordered to ensure sufficient facilities for businesses, alongside coordination with the disaster management department to address flooding risks in areas like Devpur and Valwadi.

To reduce the municipal corporation’s annual electricity bill of Rs 320–330 million for street lighting and water supply, Fadnavis called for swift implementation of solar power projects with battery storage. Additionally, he approved the expansion of ductile iron pipelines and funding for underground sewage systems to strengthen basic civic infrastructure.

With Dhule’s urban area now expanded to over 101 square kilometres, the Chief Minister also recommended inclusion in the Nagarothan Scheme to unlock extra funding for essential services.

Other proposals include the development of a shopping complex on MHADA land along Chalisgaon Road and a working women’s hostel in Mouje Dhule.
