Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has proposed multilevel parking facilities at Guru Dronacharya and IFFCO Chowk metro stations in Gurugram to ease congestion and improve commuter convenience. The plan is intended to expand parking capacity and reduce curbside parking that impedes traffic flow on adjoining roads. Officials indicated that the intervention is part of broader efforts to integrate station infrastructure with urban mobility needs. The corporation has identified the two locations based on commuter demand and traffic assessments.

The proposed structures will be designed to accommodate both two wheeler and four wheeler vehicles and include dedicated entry and exit points to streamline circulation. Design considerations are expected to prioritise pedestrian access, safe drop off zones and integration with existing foot over bridges and station exits. The project will also consider provisions for disabled access and signage to improve wayfinding for daily users. Security and lighting will be incorporated to ensure safety during off peak hours.

Implementation is likely to be phased to minimise disruption to commuters and station operations while enabling progressive enhancement of capacity.
