Eastern Region Review Meeting of CGCA Concludes at NCA-F New Delhi
The meeting was held to review the performance and progress of field units in the Eastern Region and to strengthen coordination across key functional areas. Organisers sought to align administrative processes and enhance service delivery through structured reviews and guidance.
The Eastern Region comprises the field units of Kolkata, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, North East one, West Bengal and North East two, and senior officers including principal CCAs and CCAs attended the review. Participants presented circle level reports and engaged in collective appraisal of ongoing programmes and targets.
Detailed discussions were conducted on administration, pension, internal audit, revenue management and Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) related activities. Field units described achievements, operational challenges and ongoing initiatives in revenue assessment, leakage prevention, pension service delivery and strengthening internal audit mechanisms.
It was noted that the Eastern Region collectively deals with around 350 telecom licensees and authorisations and handles annual revenue collection of approximately Rs 40,000 mn. The region also provides pension services to more than 60,000 pensioners through the SAMPANN platform, indicating significant operational and service delivery responsibilities.
An interactive session with representatives from DBN headquarters addressed operational and implementation issues and conveyed guidance to field units. The meeting emphasised replication of best practices across circles, timely resolution of audit observations, strengthening of revenue monitoring and continuous improvement of service delivery to pensioners and stakeholders.
