Elektrobit Launches EB civion to Accelerate SDV Cockpit Development

Elektrobit has recently unveiled EB civion, a new software solution suite designed to accelerate digital cockpit development and strengthen supply chain control for software-defined vehicles (SDVs). The platform is being showcased at CES 2026, where Elektrobit is highlighting the evolution of the automotive supply chain through build-to-print designs and cloud-native technologies.

EB civion brings together Elektrobit’s automotive software and cockpit expertise into a unified ecosystem. The suite includes EB civion Creator, a cloud-native virtual cockpit development environment for rapid HMI and application development; EB civion Core, a set of bundled, hardware-agnostic software assets optimised for cockpit domain controllers; and EB civion Cockpit, which combines build-to-print designs with system software tailored for specific system-on-chip platforms.

According to the company, the modular and pre-integrated approach helps automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers accelerate time-to-market through rapid prototyping and mature target software for high-performance infotainment systems. It also reduces system complexity and total cost of ownership through hardware-agnostic development and testing, while enabling scalable supply chain control across vehicle platforms.

The EB civion ecosystem is supported by a network of technology partners including AMD, Amazon Web Services, Google, Infineon and Qualcomm Technologies Inc., ensuring access to cloud-native services, advanced hardware integration and scalable architectures.

Elektrobit stated that EB civion is aimed at transforming cockpit development for SDVs by providing off-the-shelf, integration-ready software solutions that enable faster deployment, improved performance and greater flexibility for next-generation in-vehicle experiences.
