eMudhra Launches emSigner For SMEs To Accelerate Digital Workflows

eMudhra Limited (eMudhra) has launched emSigner for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) (emSigner), a purpose-built offering priced from Rs 1,000 to help organisations digitise document workflows across human resources, legal and finance functions. The product forms part of eMudhra’s SME Digitalisation for India initiative aimed at enabling paperless, compliant and efficient operations at scale. The company positioned the solution as rapid to deploy and affordable for small businesses while retaining enterprise-grade security and reliability.

Many Indian SMEs continue to rely on manual, paper-intensive processes despite growing regulatory requirements and the need for audit-ready records. This reliance generates operational inefficiencies, delays and compliance risks across employee onboarding, contract management and financial approvals. emSigner delivers end-to-end digital workflows with legally compliant digital signatures under the Indian Information Technology Act and is designed for intuitive use and cost-effective adoption.

eMudhra said the go-to-market strategy will be partner led, leveraging its network of Chartered Accountants (CAs) and Company Secretaries (CSs) who can bundle emSigner with Digital Signature Certificates (DSCs) and offer a complete compliance and workflow package to SME clients. The company said this approach will enable trusted advisors to evolve into digital transformation partners and unlock new revenue streams through integrated automation and signing capabilities. The model is intended to accelerate SME uptake by using familiar compliance channels.

The launch aligns with India’s broader Digital India agenda where paperless transactions and secure digital identities are central to business growth. eMudhra noted an expectation of strong adoption through its partner ecosystem with continued efforts to expand SME reach. The company described its background in public key infrastructure, digital signatures and identity access management, serving customers in more than 35 countries. It added that establishing verifiable trust across users, devices and digital services is essential as cyber threats evolve.
