Environmental Solutions (ES), a business segment of Terex Corporation and global leader in environmental equipment and technology, has inaugurated its new technical Center of Excellence in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The facility expands ES’s global presence and strengthens its ability to serve customers worldwide.

The Terex India R&D Center, Environmental Solutions (TIRC ES), joins ES’s established network of Centres of Excellence in Austin, Texas; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and San Diego, California. The Bengaluru team will focus on digital innovation, Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) and Stationary product development (compactors and balers), while also providing technical and manufacturing engineering support for ES brands including Heil®, Marathon® and 3rd Eye®.

Spanning 17,700 square feet, the facility includes a dedicated electrical laboratory and specialised areas for hardware and software testing. It also houses a 5,600 sq ft test laboratory for lifecycle testing in support of product development. The centre is staffed by 160 team members who transitioned from Dover India on 1 July, following Terex’s acquisition of Environmental Solutions Group from Dover Corporation in October 2024.

The inauguration included a traditional Indian Pooja ceremony, followed by onboarding and a welcome from leadership teams across the organisation.

The new centre bolsters Terex’s global innovation capabilities and reaffirms its commitment to developing smart, sustainable solutions for customers across the environmental equipment and technology sector.
