Ericsson Secures Multi-Year NOC Deal With Airtel

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has signed a multi-year Managed Services contract with Bharti Airtel, further deepening the companies' over 25-year partnership. The agreement entrusts Ericsson with the operation of Airtel’s network services across India, covering 4G, 5G Non-Standalone (NSA), 5G Standalone (SA), Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), Private Networks, and Network Slicing.

As part of the contract, Ericsson will deliver intent-based operations via its advanced, centralised Network Operations Centre (NOC), supporting Airtel in expanding and managing next-generation connectivity services nationwide. The NOC will oversee Airtel’s pan-India operations while enabling scale in innovative offerings like FWA and Network Slicing.

Randeep Sekhon, Chief Technology Officer at Bharti Airtel, commented, “We are excited to enhance our strong collaboration with Ericsson as we pursue our goal of creating a future-ready network that delivers an exceptional experience for our customers. These technologies will empower us to meet growing data demands in a digitally connected India.”

Andres Vicente, Head of Market Area Southeast Asia, Oceania and India at Ericsson, added, “This milestone agreement reinforces our commitment to helping Airtel deliver the best possible experience for its customers. Through Intent-Based NOC Operations, we aim to unlock service diversification and revenue growth opportunities.”

This deal follows Ericsson’s recent collaboration with Airtel on 5G Core, underlining its continued support in accelerating India’s digital infrastructure evolution.
