Fiem Industries Limited (FIEM) has commissioned a state-of-the-art Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility testing laboratory at its R&D–Electronics, Innovation Centre and corporate office in Gurugram. The facility has been established to bolster the company’s engineering and validation capabilities for automotive lighting electronics. The new laboratory supports development of lighting systems and electronic controls as these become increasingly integral to modern automotive products.

The laboratory will enable FIEM to conduct critical EMI and EMC validation tests in-house for automotive lighting products, ensuring compliance with automotive regulatory standards and original equipment manufacturer specifications. This capability is expected to reduce project lead times and permit more efficient alignment with customer requirements. In-house testing is also intended to increase confidence among OEM customers by demonstrating robust validation processes.

The laboratory is located on the ground floor of Tower A, Plot No. 243, SP Infocity, Udyog Vihar Phase-one in Gurugram, Haryana. The chairman and managing director said that commissioning the laboratory marks another milestone in FIEM’s journey to strengthen its technology-driven product development ecosystem. The company positioned the facility as integral to its strategy for next-generation automotive lighting solutions.

FIEM described several strategic benefits from the in-house laboratory including enhanced electronic design capabilities for advanced automotive lighting systems and accelerated product development timelines enabling faster project development. The facility will reduce dependence on external testing facilities, improving efficiency and flexibility in product validation. It will also strengthen backward integration in engineering and validation infrastructure and support higher confidence of OEM customers through in-house testing and validation capabilities.
