German-Indian Partnership To Develop Unmanned Reconnaissance Solution
At the centre of the initiative is Aerodata's AeroForce X platform, a medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial system (UAS) that combines high payload capacity with maximum endurance of up to 40 hours. The modular architecture has been designed for integration of advanced mission system technology, making it suitable for demanding intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations over land and sea. Under the MoU both companies will assess how the AeroForce X can be further developed and configured to meet Indian mission profiles and environmental conditions.
Dynauton will contribute engineering and manufacturing expertise from its development and production facilities, while Aerodata will provide its experience in integration of complex airborne surveillance systems and mission management solutions. The collaboration is intended to leverage complementary technical strengths to produce a high-performance unmanned reconnaissance capability for operations including the Himalayas and the Indian Ocean region. The partners envisage a programme that includes system adaptation, testing and support planning to address long-term operational needs.
Dynauton was established as a deep-tech division by Dynamatic in 2023 and combines design and manufacturing resources in Europe and India, while Aerodata, established in 1985, offers mission management and flight inspection systems and regulatory certification expertise. Both companies view the MoU as the start of a German-Indian cooperation with prospects for joint development of innovative unmanned systems.
