GHV Infrastructure Bags Rs 8,400 Million EPC Contract For US RNG Project

GHV Infrastructure Limited has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract worth Rs 8,400 million (Rs 8,400 mn) from Ductor Americas for a renewable natural gas project in the United States. Renewable natural gas, commonly known as RNG, refers to methane derived from organic waste and processed for pipeline injection or transport fuel. The contract covers engineering, procurement and construction work for the facility and associated infrastructure. RNG can substitute for conventional natural gas in industrial and transport applications and contributes to reductions in lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions relative to fossil fuels.

The agreement requires the firm to undertake design, supply, installation and commissioning of processing units and associated systems. The award expands the company's international project portfolio and reinforces its capabilities in clean energy infrastructure. The execution will require coordination with local suppliers, subcontractors and regulatory authorities to meet project timelines and standards. The contract strengthens the firm's order book and contributes to its pipeline of renewable projects.

The value of the contract is stated as Rs 8,400 mn and is equivalent to Rs eight point four billion (bn). GHV Infrastructure emphasises that its engineering services, procurement networks and execution processes are core strengths that support such international assignments. The project aligns with growing demand for low carbon fuels in the United States. The contract value is material for the company's international segment and will be reflected in its project backlog.

The company indicated that the contract demonstrates its strategic focus on energy transition sectors and onshore execution in North America. Management noted that delivery of the project will draw on existing technical teams and partnerships and will contribute to revenue visibility over the execution period. The project will leverage the company's health, safety and environmental frameworks during execution. Execution of the contract will involve mobilisation of site teams, logistics planning and adherence to the schedule agreed with the client.
