The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will develop a new bus terminal in Sector 103 to boost connectivity along the Dwarka Expressway and support the city’s growing public transport needs. The project aims to expand capacity, ease traffic pressure, and promote sustainable mobility.

The Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS) has been appointed as the project management consultant to prepare the concept plan and detailed project report (DPR) for the new facility. Spread across 7.18 acres, the land was recently transferred from the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG).

Designed to accommodate up to 150 buses, the terminal will feature parking bays, maintenance infrastructure, and operational space. GMDA officials said the site was strategically chosen near the upcoming Sheetla Mata Medical College and Hospital, expected to emerge as a major transit hub.

“The development of the bus depot in Sector 103 is part of our efforts to provide sustainable and reliable public transport. By expanding the bus network and upgrading infrastructure, we aim to reduce dependency on private vehicles and promote eco-friendly travel,” said R.D. Singhal, Chief General Manager (Mobility Division), GMDA.

At present, Gurugram operates 159 buses across 24 routes, with about 200 buses housed in depots at Sectors 10 and 52. An e-bus depot is also under construction in Sector 48, further strengthening the city’s green mobility push.
