Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited has recently been assigned an ESG rating of 77.7, corresponding to CareEdge-ESG 1, by CareEdge ESG Ratings Ltd. following an independent evaluation. The assessment was conducted through a combination of on-ground reviews and management interactions, including field visits to GMDC’s operational assets and structured discussions with senior management at the corporate office between 19 and 21 November 2025.

According to the rating agency, the score places GMDC in the ‘Leadership’ category for ESG risk management, reflecting the corporation’s approach to governance systems, policy frameworks, disclosures and performance parameters assessed as part of the exercise. The evaluation was based on disclosures provided by the company as well as information available in the public domain.

The ESG rating forms part of GMDC’s structured progression under its Environmental, Social and Governance framework, reinforcing its focus on transparency, responsible business practices and long-term value creation for stakeholders, in line with evolving sustainability and disclosure expectations.
