Gopalan Metals Enters Building Wires Segment
Gopalan Metals (India) has recently launched Gopalan Wires and Cables, marking its entry into the building wires segment for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
The product portfolio currently includes Flame Retardant (FR) and Flame Retardant Low Smoke and Halogen (FRLS-H) PVC house wires. The products are manufactured at the company’s Hoskote facility in Karnataka, which has a production capacity of around 6,000 km of building wires per month.
Gopalan Wires and Cables will cater to electrical dealers, distributors, contractors, builders, infrastructure projects, OEMs and end users across retail and institutional markets.
The company said the launch is aimed at addressing growing demand for certified electrical products as urbanisation, real estate development and infrastructure investments expand across India.
Pramod C, Director, Gopalan Metals India, said, “Electrical wiring is a fundamental component of every building and plays an important role in the safety and reliability of an electrical system. With Gopalan Wires and Cables, our objective is to bring our experience in copper manufacturing into the building-wires segment and offer products that meet established quality and safety standards.”
He added that BIS certification reflects the company’s focus on manufacturing consistency and delivering safe and dependable wiring solutions across residential, commercial and industrial applications.
The launch forms part of Gopalan Metals’ broader strategy to diversify its manufacturing portfolio and leverage its copper expertise to tap emerging opportunities in India’s electrical and industrial sectors. The company also plans to develop a wider portfolio of domestically manufactured products for businesses and consumers.
