Government raises Rs 1.42 trillion via asset monetisation till FY25

The government has raised Rs 1.42 trillion through various modes of asset monetisation up to FY25, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari informed Parliament on Thursday.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Gadkari said the projected financial contribution from asset monetisation in the current fiscal year stands at Rs 300 billion.
Highway assets are monetised through three primary modes — Toll Operate and Transfer (ToT), Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), and securitisation via project-based financing through special purpose vehicles (SPVs).
