Governor Interacts With Yuva Sangam Delegation At IIT Tirupati
The Governor highlighted the importance of sustained youth engagement in nation-building and underscored how cultural understanding and inter-state collaboration contribute to strengthening India’s unity in diversity. He commended initiatives that enable young citizens to connect with different regions, cultures and traditions. He urged the delegates to carry forward the spirit of mutual respect and learning as ambassadors of national integration.
During the visit, the delegation met faculty members, researchers, innovators and students at IIT Tirupati and observed cutting-edge scientific research, academic excellence and recent technological advancements. The programme provided opportunities for experiential learning through laboratory visits, seminars and collaborative sessions with campus researchers. Delegates also engaged with local communities and cultural groups to experience the region’s living traditions and practices.
Yuva Sangam, launched by the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education, is conducting Phase Six to strengthen national unity, cultural harmony and emotional integration through educational and cultural exchanges. The initiative brings together participants from 22 paired States and Union Territories and aims to create pathways for a deeper understanding of India’s diversity and innovation ecosystems. The Governor noted that people to people connections foster shared aspirations for inclusive nation building and long term cooperation among young citizens.
