Haryana Signs Rs 660 Billion Of Investment MoUs In Mumbai
The chief minister said the government will develop new growth nodes by integrating district-specific clusters with land, skills and connectivity, assigning regional priorities for industry. North Haryana will focus on food processing and pharmaceuticals, central Haryana on engineering and automobiles, south Haryana on information technology and advanced manufacturing, and western Haryana on agro-industry and renewable energy.
He offered five guarantees to investors covering policy stability, time-bound approvals, proactive project hand-holding, skills and connectivity aligned with industry needs, and linking investment with local employment and micro, small and medium enterprise development. The administration has set up an Industry-Worker Friendship Council to resolve industrial disputes and rights issues. The government said it would ensure transparent processes, swift decision-making and accountable governance to support projects.
The state has prepared a Haryana Vision Document for 2047 that aims to take the economy beyond US$1 trillion (tn), raise per capita income and strengthen youth employability and women’s participation while making each district a development partner. Education, healthcare, climate-resilient agriculture and smart infrastructure were identified as key pillars of the strategy.
Officials noted that Rs 1,100 bn in memorandums were signed earlier at an Industry Policy launch in Gurugram and that most signatories have been allotted land. The chief minister met the Maharashtra chief minister in Mumbai to discuss cooperation on a proposed valour memorial at Kala Amb covering 16 acres.
